George from B.C. sent in this awesome racer! Thanks Bud! Just in case you were wondering, the color of this speeding bullet is Winchester Grey. George stated it's modified to road racing spec. as per Martin Eng. (i.e. Sox & Martin) and Petty Eng.  That means the frame is tied with 2x3 heavy wall tubing and 6 point rollbar, reinforcing over the pinion snubber and K-Frame. The front swaybar was replaced with a heavier unit. All bushings are poly graphite. The torsion bar was replaced with a 1.08 in. unit (265 lbs.), the front brakes are upgraded to 12 in Unicast disks (76 to 78 police interceptor) and 11 drums in the rear. All have metallic lining. The wheels are Weld Draglites (16x8.5) with 255x50x16 Comp T/A with ZR rating and 3 in studs all around. With 3.25 gears it runs high 12's. The clutch is a Centerforce Dual Friction with McEeod bellhousing and hydraulic release bearing. george_gun.jpg (41867 bytes)

The block is .040 over with 11 to 1 Arias forged pistons and molyplasma rings, align honed and checked. The rods are polished and shotpeened and the rod bearings pegged. The assembly is balanced to 8000 RPM with a Fulddampner to keep the vibration down. A P-4529968 cam with double roller timing chain are the heart of the engine. The heads are P-4529268 with 2.02 valves, ported and port matched. Harland-Sharpe roller rockers with rocker shaft hold downs and hemi push rods. A Mopar high volume oil pump with Mildon oil pan and Oberg double diaphragm oil filter take care of the lubrication. Hooker Super Comp 1.75 in headers with 2.5 in popes completes the exhaust. AP-4120701 distributor, MSD-6AL with MSD blaster 2 coil, MSD adjustable timing control,. Spotfire plugs and Taylor 10 mm wires do the firing. The radiator had been record as 4 core and combined with an engine oil cooler keeps the temp. normal.
