This page is dedicated to the AAR'Cuda. The AAR production total was 2,724. That breaks down to 1,604 automatics and 1,120 4-speeds. No "Canadian shipped" production numbers are known at this time. All AAR's were built at the Hamtramck, MI assembly plant. Production began on March 10 and was scheduled to end on April 17th. Prior to building these cars, "prototypes" were assembled. The prototypes were built on Feb 3rd and 4th. All colors normally available on a 'Cuda (BS) were also available on the AAR. There were 18 colors available on the '70 E-body at the beginning of the production year. In early February, two more were added. The late introduced colors were FM3 Moulin Rouge (known as Panther Pink in Dodge terms) and FJ6 Sassy Grass (Dodge called it Green-Go). Certain colors were used more plentifully than others were on the Trans-Am cars. Most common was probably FY1 Lemon Twist (Top Banana) and FE5 Rallye Red (Bright Red). Orange was also common and came in two hues. EK2 Vitamin C (Go-Mango) and EV2 Tor-Red (HEMI-Orange). Another very common color was FC-7 In-Violet (Plum Crazy). Some of the more "rare" colors found on these cars are FM3 Moulin Rouge (Panther Pink), TX9 Black, and EB3 Ice Blue Metallic, to name a few.
